STAFF ACCOUNTANT

POSITION PURPOSE

  • To strengthen Peregrine Group by providing expert professional support in accounting, accounts payable, tax, and treasury

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide assistance and support to accounting, accounts payable, tax, and treasury. Some duties will be owned by this role on an ongoing basis including accounts payable, while others will be performed from time-to-time based on the needs of the above departments. As the saying goes, “Flexibility is the key to airpower”, and flexibility is key to success in this role
  • In addition to accounts payable within the accounting department, duties related to various reconciliations, assist with month-end close, property taxes, management of 1099 reporting, external audit support, preparation of charts and various internal financial statements will be included on an ongoing basis
  • Cross-train on certain treasury functions to create proficient bench depth for the team. Akin to a utility player in baseball, whose specialty is being capable of playing multiple positions on the field rather than being limited to only one position on a primary basis, the corporate accountant creates value for the team in his/her willingness and capability to perform a wide variety of tasks and functions throughout the organization as requested by the CFO and Controller
  • Take ownership of duties assigned over time by the Controller
  • Other special projects as they arise
  • Monitor systems and proactively recommend improvements/changes as needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (minimum 3.0 GPA)
  • 3 years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility
  • Advanced Excel skills
